Larissa surrounded by some of her early creations at a fete in 1979!
I've been knitting since my Mum taught me to cast on stitches round my thumb when I was seven. I grew up knitting baby clothes for my younger brother and sister and stitching soft toys for church fetes. Amongst my many creations have been a family of rag dolls, a herd of pink felt pigs and a host of peg doll angels. When my sister Alina's first baby arrived he was very small. I dug out a vintage pattern for a doll's cardigan and knitted it, together with a pair of bright booties, as a gift. As he grew, I carried on supplying him with a variety of my colourful booties. They got noticed in his social circle and I got commissions. Alina and I decided to turn this into a business and would now like to share our booties with you...
